With the MLB Today feature you can also play the same game that is being played in the real MLB. For example, if the Yanks are playing the Red Sox and Sabathia is pitching, in the game he will be pitching along with the same lineup that is usually used. This feature will also help the commentary as the commentators will know the stats of the players and teams from MLB Today and they will process this. For example, if Longoria was 7 for 10 in the series against the Red Sox the announcers will express that and possibly say “Longoria is on a hot streak.”

Will this be the year that MLB 2K rights the ship? Last year’s iteration received unrelenting critism, but in the offseason, the team at 2K Sports has been hard at work to remake the game.

The new mode “My Player”, seems to be a focus of this year’s attention and the above trailer looks pretty intense. My Player mode was included in NBA 2K10 and career modes have become increasingly popular in sports games.

There will be a special section devoted to MLB 2K10 gamers who want to post blogs about their “My Player” career.

1. Make sure you have the username of the account you want to upgrade handy.

2. Click on the “Sign-up or Upgrade” button on the Dynasty Manager homepage (or if your account has not expired, then you will also see the upgrade link on your admin page).

3. Choose the type of account plan you want to set up (Rookie, Veteran or Hall of Fame).

4. After picking the plan, click the BEGIN button.

5. On the next page, instead of typing the email address to send a NEW account activation, type in the username of the Trial account that should receive the upgrade.

6. Click PROCEED and start the payment process. Dynasty Manager will be alerted of the upgrade request and the Trial account will be converted to a paid account.

Lastnight NBA 2K10 Draft Combine hit the PSN Store and I was quick to jump on it because I want to see what all the hype was about it and of course wanted to create my player and ultimatley bring him into the NBA once 2K10 releases.

For those that are just crawling out from under a rock and don’t know what exactly NBA 2K10 Draft Combine is all about I will be so nice into letting you know. The downloaded game ($5.00) will let you create your player and take him through the training of the Draft Combine. There you will polish up your skils in drills ranging from, Shooting, defense, post plays, rebounding and also dribbling skills. You don’t need to complete all drills before you play the game (I don’t think you do) but after the drills are completed you can either go into a scrimmage game, and hone your skills that way before taking it to the real deal, a full on game.

Once in the full game you will be giving tasks that you need to accomplish. I played just three games and am really liking the way the Combine feels and looks. My first game I had to score 10 points, dish out 2 assists and hold my opponent to 10 points and I also had to finish with a teammate grade of c+ or better.

After each game you also will see what draft position you are in and whom is willing to select you in that spot.

I created my player being a 6′6″ Shooting Guard out of North Carolina.

In my last game I had to shoot over 48% from the floor and hold my matchup to under 52% from the field. I shot as you can see 70% as I found myself getting easy baskets in the lane and alot of fast break points. My teammates looked for me off the rebound most of the time. I held my matchup to just 40%.

After each game you are also given skill points in which you can go back into your ‘My Player’ screen and distribute those. Beside each category you will see how much of the points will be taken away when doing so.

All and all I love the feel of the Combine and I think this is great for anyone that loves NBA 2K. The best thing about this also is if you want to see how well your player will do in the NBA against the likes of Kobe, LeBron, ,KG, just to name a few, you can load your player to NBA 2K10 and take him on the journey.

I know that there are some hockey fans here at Dynasty Manager because I have seen some of the best pages on the DM site coming from the hockey side.  This update is for you guys.  Now I am no hockey fan, but I have heard that EA Sports NHL 10 is said to be awesome and the best title yet.  But, this is not about EA sports hockey title but the competition, NHL 2K10.

I have been following 2K sports on twitter, as I know some of you have your followings as well.  On there they stated that 2KHockey.Net has released a 14 minute video on exclusive gamplay.
